Typically mission societies, Christian relief and development organisations are involved in Community Development initiatives aiming at the transformation of individual lives and entire communities.
The CCD Conferences offer opportunities for networking and capacity building related to the theory and practice of a Community Development approach based on Christian values.

The CCD conferences provide people working in development with a welcome opportunity to reflect on new ideas, practices and theories. They can equip Christians to engage more effectively in their work.

Für viele Hilfswerke und Missionswerke ist Community Development (Gemeinwesen- Entwicklung) von wachsender Bedeutung. Der Trend weg von Institutionen hin zu „Community“-Ansätzen und die Tatsache, dass Missionen durch die Arbeit ihrer Missionare oft automatisch in Community- Arbeiten „geraten“, hat verstärkt zu dem Bedarf nach Austausch und Fortbildung geführt. Im Zentrum steht dabei die Frage, wie „Community Development“, basierend auf christlichen Werten, in der Praxis umgesetzt werden. kann.

Meine Meinung:

|
Viele unserer Missionare sind heute in integralen Projekten tätig, in denen Wort und Tat miteinander verbunden sind. Bei der CCD-Konferenz erhalten sie dafür fachlich kompetente Aus- und Weiterbildung.
